According to a new survey from EventSpot from Constant Contact (NASDAQ: CTCT), released in celebration of Small Business Saturday, 81 per cent of small businesses and nonprofits planning events expect to increase their use of mobile technology to market their events in the next year. However, there appears to be a considerable gap in interest level versus skill level; an overwhelming 90 per cent of these planners say they would like to learn just how they can leverage mobile technology specifically for their events. Rating: EventSpot survey finds interest high, skills lowWhilst it is painfully obvious that small businesses (SMBs) and non-profit appreciate the value of pushing content out to smartphone users, they basically lack the skills to do so. These are the findings in a new survey carried out for Constant Contact's EventSpot. It found that 81 per cent of small businesses and non-profits organisations involved in planning events expect to increase their use of mobile technology to market their events in the next year. However, there seems to be a major gap between interest levels and skill level.
