Vodafone investors get news of dividend windfall on eve of interims

Money likely to be shared out before XmasInvestor eyes will be turning to Britain's Vodafone later today [Novemeber 13th 2012] as it unveils its interim results, though any clouds will be partially dispersed by news of a special dividend from US partner Verizon Wireless. The news, announced last night [12th November 2012] will see $8.5 billion (£5.4 billion) shared between its parents Verizon Communications and Vodafone, who respectively own 55 per cent and 45 per cent of America's second largest mobile carrier.
